Wassim Younan

Mr. Wassim Younan is a Partner and the Vice Chairman of International at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2021, Wassim held various roles at Goldman Sachs & Co. over a 29-year tenure, the last 16 as a Partner; serving in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Until his retirement in April 2021, Wassim served for 15 years as Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs & Co. for the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to that, he was the head of Goldman Sachs’ Fixed Income, Currency, & Commodities Division in Asia Pacific. Wassim started his career in leveraged finance at The First National Bank of Chicago and served in Chicago, Seoul, and Dubai. Wassim holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.
