AWAS and IndiGo have today completed a lease agreement for three Airbus A320 family aircraft, due for delivery from Q2 2017. This latest addition to the IndiGo A320 family fleet will assist the carrier as it looks to capitalise on India’s increasing demand for point to point low fare air travel.
Marlin Dailey, AWAS Chief Commercial Officer said, “Providing full service fleet solutions in emerging markets such as India makes great business sense for AWAS. We have a strong relationship with IndiGo and we are pleased to be in a position to support the increased demand in this market of over one billion people.”
IndiGo is India’s largest domestic passenger airline. IngiGo primarily operate in India’s domestic air travel market as a low-cost carrier. Their fleet comprises 131 aircraft of a single type. IndiGo currently operate flights connecting to 45 destinations – 39 domestic and 6 international.
