Awarded Middle East and Africa “Lessor of the Year” and “CEO of the Year” for the second consecutive year
Dubai, U.A.E., 4 October 2017 – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. received the Middle East and Africa ‘Lessor of the Year’ award for the second consecutive year at the “˜African & Middle East & Islamic Finance Aviation 100 Awards’ ceremony. This award is recognition of DAE’s high-profile strategic growth initiatives, including its launch of its inaugural asset-backed securitization deal, and more recently its acquisition of Dublin based lessor AWAS. DAE’s Chief Executive Officer Firoz Tarapore who has led these initiatives was personally recognized for his contribution and received the Middle East and Africa “˜CEO of the Year’ award at the same event, also for the second consecutive year. Four other awards received by DAE include Middle East and Africa “˜Debt Deal of the Year’, “˜Overall Deal of the Year’, “˜CFO/Treasury Team of the Year’ and “˜Capital Markets Deal of the Year’, the latter specifically for the launch of DAE’s ABS, “˜Falcon Aerospace’. The awards were presented by Airline Economics during the gala dinner of the 2017 Growth Frontiers Dubai conference.
The award winners were decided by an industry survey sent out to a global distribution list of more than 10,000 names over a two-month period. The results are subject to strict criteria and the deals of the year awards are also determined by an extensive nomination process.
