STANDARD AERO SELECTED BY ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE FOR C130J PROPULSION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

AND ASSOCIATED AIR CENTER DELIVERS 9th LUXURY AIRBUS CORPORATE JET

DUBAI AIRSHOW 2007, U.A.E. - Standard Aero, a Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Engineering company, today announced an indefinite quantity three-year contract with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in support of its fleet of C130J Hercules aircraft. The value of the base contract is estimated to be in excess of USD $45 million over three years. The agreement is a performance-based contract that has provisions for three one-year continuance options. The three-year contract is valued in excess of US$45 million.
At the same time Associated Air Center (AAC), a business unit of Landmark Aviation, a further DAE Engineering company, operating at Dallas Love Field (DAL), announced the delivery of an Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) VIP interior – its 9th luxury jet delivery in the ACJ program, with four more in backlog.

Commenting on the RAAF deal, Rob Mionis, CEO of DAE Engineering, said: “Standard Aero has a long and successful partnership with the RAAF and we are particularly pleased to expand our relationship with this agreement. This agreement is another example of the quality work and dedicated service that Standard Aero is delivering to a global customer base.”
“Standard Aero will manage the complete propulsion system powering the Royal Australian Air Force fleet of C130J aircraft,” said Paul Soubry, President and Chief Executive Officer, Landmark Aviation and Standard Aero, a DAE Engineering Company. “Since the RAAF acquired this fleet, Standard Aero has provided maintenance on the C130J engines. This contract builds on our strong, extensive relationship and represents a natural evolution in our support.”
The RAAF C130J propulsion system agreement is a performance based contract that provides incentives and rewards for proactive service and continuous improvement.
Wing Commander Michael Brown, Commanding Officer of the C130 Logistics Management Unit of the Royal Australian Air Force, said, “Standard Aero has been a proactive and responsive service provider and we look forward to teaming with Standard Aero on the management of our C130J propulsion system program.”
The contract includes repair and overhaul of Lockheed Martin C130J Quick Engine Change Assemblies, Rolls-Royce AE2100D3 engines, Dowty R391 Propellers and Hamilton Sundstrand auxiliary power units.
It also includes supply chain management, program management, repair and overhaul of the associated repairable items and complete engineering support.
The agreement is a performance-based contract, and the company will be measured on key metrics such as availability, quality, reliability and program management.
Work will be performed at both a Standard Aero run facility at RAAF Base Richmond, New South Wales, Australia and at the AE2100 maintenance facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Separately, Associated Air Center (AAC) marked the delivery of the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) VIP interior – its 9th luxury jet delivery in the ACJ program, with four more in backlog.
“This luxury aircraft has been designed for the owner’s business and personal use,” said Patrick Altuna, Executive Vice President, Sales, Landmark Aviation and Standard Aero. “The VIP interior is of a contemporary design and features rich wood veneers, plush seating and carpeting throughout, in soft and complimentary colors.”
The aircraft features a spacious master bedroom and master lavatory with shower and ample storage closets. A pair of mid aircraft guest lavatories are also featured. Unique features include a family room equipped with a wrap-around sofa that seats seven or sleeps three. Other sofas in the aircraft provide additional seating as well as sleeping positions. Two high-low tables that seat four each can be joined with a leaf, so the table stretches across the mid section of the aircraft. It can be used for dining and also as a conference table.
Hand finished wood veneers on cabinetry throughout the aircraft give the interior a stylish, polished finish. The aircraft has a full cabin management system, reflecting the aircraft’s functionality as an office in the sky. The cabin systems include entertainment, games, and wireless communications. AAC interior designers and engineers worked closely with the aircraft owner, who is based in India, to develop an interior that offers many amenities.
AAC became an Airbus ACJ Authorized Completions Center in 2003. The operation is an approved ACJ Service Center and in 2005 successfully completed the first five-year C-check for a head-of-state ACJ.
AAC offers a full range of design and luxurious completion options for transport class aircraft. AAC professionals work with customers from original concept through the design of the floor plan to selection of fabric, furniture and fixture fabrication, and the integration of cabin and cockpit systems including audio/visual equipment, business computers, facsimile machines, voice scramblers and security components.
