Arabic Press Release

17th June, 2007

DAE CHAIRMAN HH SHEIKH AHMED LEADS DUBAI DELEGATION AT WORLD’S BIGGEST 2007 AIRSHOW

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), the global aerospace, manufacturing and services corporation, will be part of a high-level Dubai delegation led by its Chairman, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, to this week’s Paris Airshow 2007.

HH Sheikh Ahmed, who is also President of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline, leads a senior team of DCA and DAE executives for the largest single gathering of the aerospace community in 2007. The event is staged between 18-24 June at Le Bourget, Paris.

His Excellency Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, who is Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and also Managing Director of DAE, together with DAE’s CEO, Bob Johnson, will also be part of the DAE group.

Among his many engagements at the show, Sheikh Ahmed will host a joint DCA-DAE press conference to promote the massive infrastructure developments being undertaken in Dubai. These include developments at Dubai International Airport and at the new Dubai World Central project, incorporating the world’s biggest airport, which is now under construction.

Dr. Omar added: “The Paris Airshow, along with the Dubai Air Show in November, are the premier events for the aerospace industry in 2007. We will be making significant progress on numerous projects and also will publicly use the opportunity to help promote the major initiatives taking place in Dubai.”

Bob Johnson said: “We are extremely honoured that His Highness Sheikh Ahmed will be joining us at what is a massively important event on the aerospace calendar. Paris presents us with an opportunity to enhance DAE’s emerging profile in this global industry and to develop the many innovative business opportunities that we have under discussion. It is a stage both for DAE and for Dubai, given the significant infrastructure developments at Dubai International and Dubai World Central and within which DAE aims to be playing a pivotal role moving forward.”

The Paris Airshow is held every two years and is the major showcase for every major aerospace company.
